The only email you receive from us are for these reasons:
- A reminder to review and/or update your listing so the online public gets
current and accurate information
- The information you request be sent to you
- Very occasionally (like once every two years), notification of a new feature or function
on the site that you might find interesting
These emails will probably come from webmaster, bizinfo or webmaster @ marin.org.
Recently we received several emails complaining of spam email that appears to have been sent out by
the www.marin.org management team. Please be assured that we (marin.org) does not authorize or send out
such email as we get too much of it ourselves. In fact, in the future, if you receive spam email that
implies it is from (or authorized by) www.marin.org and is not in one of the categories above, please
notify us and we will try to track down the true source and then post a News advising you on
how to report the abuse.
In reporting the abuse, the service abuser's Internet service provider needs to know the
following:
- Who sent the email (and their email address).
- What business they claim to represent.
We want www.marin.org to continue to be an interesting and useful web site that showcase the
groups, businesses, organizations of Marin. So let's work together to stop the spam!
