Tips about entering Recurring events

How can I enter information for weekly events?
If you are inputting information about an event that occurs each week. enter the first date and last date on the form.

For example, if a class will meet on Thursday nights at 7:30 for eight weeks starting September 14, 2007 you would input September 14, 2007 to November 1, 2007 as the start and end dates.

What about entering recurring events that occur on a non-weekly schedule?
If you are inputting information for events that happen more than once but on a non-weekly schedule ... like Art Walks that happen each month or classes that might run on Tuesdays and Thursdays ... you can use the COPY function.

After completing the Add Event Information form for the initial event, click "Submit." The next page that appears on your screen displays the posting as it will appear on the Community Calendar and asks you if you wish to COPY this event for occurrence at a future date.

When you select COPY a new Event Information Form appears where you can change the dates and other details. Be sure to remove the word "Copy" from each new event title.

Repeat the process until you have posted all the events you wish to recur.
