WHAT: The Coordinated Community Response to Domestic Violence Network (CCR to DV Network) formerly the Domestic Violence Coordinating Council, is meeting September 14, 2011 to launch a new public and private sector network to address gaps in our community’s response to domestic violence and develop system wide solutions.

Domestic Violence is the most frequent violent crime in Marin County. Marin Grand Jury 2010

WHEN: September 14, 2011, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm in room 328, Planning Chambers, Marin County Civic Center. Please RSVP to jhughes@co.marin.ca.us by Monday, Sept. 12, 2011. To view the agenda, please visit: http://www.centerfordomesticpeace.org/ccr-dv-network

WHY: The pervasiveness of domestic violence in Marin County is alarming. It is the number one violent crime police respond to. More than 600 victims report domestic violence incidents to law enforcement agencies each year and the majority of homicides in the last few years have been domestic violence related.

HOW: The CCR Network takes a system-wide approach to the problem of domestic violence by analyzing how agencies and organizations work together as a coordinated approach to serve victims and bring about justice.

WHO: The public is invited to attend and take ownership of the issue of domestic violence and participate in finding system-wide solutions to our response in Marin County.
